![]() ![]() I was hoping to find a jam nut locally and not have to pay 6-8$ to ship a tiny component but it seems no local gun shops carry them, might end up just swapping the VG6 from my other barrel and call it a day. It might even balance the weight better on the longer pistol than on this 8" barrel one I am finishing up. I can always swap with the VG6 I have on my other 10.5" 300blk pistol and put this cookie cutter on that gun since the handguard on that one allows to just use a standard crush washer and secure the CC all the way down. Is that enough.? I don't imaging it would come off with it having rocksett on the threads, I just personally feel like only being able to get the device half way on the threads seems "iffy". I can only turn the CC about 4 full turns which is only about 45-50% of the threads at the end of the barrel. I am already planning on using some sort of jam nut/crush washer/spacer combo to "to fill the gap" and have something for the CC to butt up against, but the real question is how many turns are "secure" enough to be comfortable with the install. Heavy-duty parkerized finished steel construction -Unique functional design. The COOKIE CUTTER COMP is, hands down, the best muzzle brake for compensating muzzle rise and. - 1x crush washer Features -Large Single Gas Port expels gas on both right and left sides. Here is an image of the CC if my description sounds odd. Based on the theory, law of action and reaction (Newton’s 3rd law), Strike Industries created a large reflecting area to enlarge great reaction to eliminate recoil force. Would it be alright to just get 5/8 ID metal tube from HD or something and cut a 1/4" section to use as a spacer then put on the crush washer and tighten down the 4-5 turns with rocksett and call it done.Īny info is appreciated, anyone know where to get cheaper jam nuts would be great too. I was trying to go to ace hardware earlier looking for a 5/8 24 nut but they have none and now I will most likely have to spend the 13$ they charge for them on gun sites. SI Jam Nut assists in timing of muzzle device -Notches for Kalashnikov KP-9 front sight base detent pin (also requires X-Comp Thread Adapter Kit) -AISI. I will be using rocksett to set the CC on the barrel so I would think 4 to 5 turns would be alright.? I also need to fill the gap resulting from not being able to tighten the comp all the way down and will most likely need a jam nut and crush washer. Is this enough to be considered "secure".? The cookie cutter comp almost looks like an extension of the handguard since it is almost the same diameter which is the look I am going for, but can only really turn the muzzle brake 4-5 full turns before it makes contact with the handguard end. I didn't want to go with a 7" handguard since there would then be exposed barrel and this cookie cutter will look good if I can attach it properly. Ferfrans: CQB Modular Muzzle Brake System -Desert Tech: Ratchet compensator. The comp has a large diameter and I can not tighten it all the way down. SI: Cookie Cutter Comp, Miller Comp, Sail Comp, WarHog Comp. I am trying to put on a SI cookie cutter comp and I have a few issues. I have an 8 in BA barrel and an 8.25" STNGR handguard. Hi all, I am trying to finish a 300blk pistol build and not sure about the muzzle brake/handguard combo. ![]()
